Lois' Bio & Resume

Lois aka MusicBoxGirl

Lois developed a thriving cottage industry designing and sewing for both the home and the individual.  In addition to many individual patrons, her select clientele includes schools, community groups and theaters, dance troupes, and an occasional wedding. 

She joined the Southwest Shakespeare Company in 1996 and is now in her seventh season as the Resident Costume Designer/Coordinator. 

In the summer of 2002, she joined Shakespeare Sedona as their resident costume designer.

Her costume designs have also been showcased for Stagebrush Theatre and Mesa Youth Theater. She currently manages the costume shop for Actors Theater of Phoenix and has had occasion to work in the costume shop of Mesa Youth Theater and Phoenix Theater

During the 2001/2003 Season she and her co-designer Shana Targozs were nominated for a Zonie for their design work on Merry Wives of Windsor with Southwest Shaksepeare.

In 1997 she coordinated costumes for “Hamlet on Trial", as part of the 1997 UK/AZ Festival in Phoenix.

A mother of five and a native of Virginia, she has learned to call Arizona her home since 1987
